the misgendered at gamestop thing is so funny to me. like that dude really proved he was a male. no woman would react like he did.
i get misgendered all the time. on one hand its kinda ridiculous cause i have boobs and female facial structure but hey im 6 feet tall and have super short hair so i can see why people would make that mistake, especially if they are a tired minimum wage retail worker.
you know what i do when i get misgendered? usually i’ll just run with it! its actually kind of nice to be treated like a man…makes me feel safer.
in the case where i do correct i’ll usually be like “i’m actually a girl, but no worries!”
the fact that the gamestop man wanted to be called ma’am so badly shows that he doesnt know how much it sucks to be treated like a woman and the violent way he reacted is a clear example of male agression
The true mark of flexing privilege and stepping out of his preferred pronouns when it suits is when he says “step outside and I’ll show you a man”
He knows he has power. He knows he is a threat. He knows all he has to do is reassume his maleness to get his own way.
And he did it.
Proves he knows nothing of what it is to be a woman. He never will be one.
My complete normie mother watched that video and in complete sincerity said “if he wants to be called a woman he needs to stop acting like a man” my mother calls me bitter for pointing out that male violence is the biggest threat to womens lives but even she knows that screaming motherfucker and kicking over stacks of product in a store just because someone called you sir or asked you not to curse in front of their child is male behavior
i hate how they market alexa as a ‘member of the family’ like that’s SO fucking blatantly insidious and terrifying also if i wanted an untrustworthy/cold/emotionless machine in my life i’d just talk to my fuckin father
